The sample highlight video shown below was created by dragging and dropping selected plays from TD Video into iMovie. A variety of transitions were added between plays with iMovie. The video was then recompressed using QuickTime's H.264 video format. The video was downsized from 720 by 480 to a 360 by 240 resolution. Music was added from a half time show. A couple iMovie sound effects were used too.
The original footage for these clips was shot with a Sony DCR-HC85 miniDV camcorder. This is a 2 megapixel video camera (1 megapixel effective). I purchased the camera in 2004 for $800. I use an ultraviolet filter as suggested by Michigan State's video coordinator. I have softened the sharpness setting in my camera by one notch to reduce digital artifacts.
